If this example is typical of how NASA is massaging temperature data, then there should be serious doubts about global warming happening at all. I assume the UN Secretary General is not smart enough to understand this. BUt for snarter people I suspect that most did not appreciate the extent to which NASA massages the temperature data. The signal/noise ratio on temperature data is unfavorable, so it is extremely difficult to tease the true signal out of it.
