Recently a friend of mine commented on the lack of peace protesters during WWII, and wondered why, since we have so many now, that there was no organized peace activity then. To me the answer is simple. The peace activists are not non-violent, as illustrated by Obama's buddies William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, and so are not pacifists, but rather are simply Anti-American. The major peace movements are organized by communists, even though many of the actors may not regard themselves as communists. The peace movement during the Vietnam war was directed by communists, though dupes like John Kerry and Jane Fonda may not have realized it. (Though I'm sure Fonda's husband, Tom Hayden, was aware of who was calling the shots.) During WWII we were helping the Soviet Communists, so there was no significant peace movement.
