I think this is a cheap shot at President Obama:

On the other hand, I can understand why someone would write this. After all, the way President Bush was treated after Hurricane Katrina was one of the all-time worst cheap shots. Prior to Katrina it was not expected that the Federal Government would take the lead in recovery efforts, mostly because it was actually contrary to the law. In fact, Bush oversaw one of the largest and most successful recovery efforts in the history of mankind. Some 30,000 people were saved from the water in New Orleans. And those people were in peril because of the ineptitude of the local and state governments, and in part, to failure of the people themselves. But, Democrats and their MSM allies had an agenda that involved demonizing Bush at all turns. So they did. Their activities did nothing for the future good of the country, except, from their perspective, making it more likely that a Democrat would be elected President. The Federal Government is not the proper agency to lead recovery from natural disasters.
