One of the major problems with converting the fleet of automobiles in the country from gas guzzlers to fuel efficient or electric "green" cars is that the public may opt to keep driving their current car rather than buying a new "green" car. For Obama and the Democrats the solution will be simple. First offer an incentive to buy the "green" car. When that doesn't work, ban the older cars from the road. Since the government will have forced the auto companies to build only "green" cars, the government will have to induce the public to buy them.
