The Waxman-Markey energy bill passed by the House of Representatives is over 1000 pages long, and wasn't read by most Congressmen before they voted on it. It doesn't do much in regard to its stated objective of reducing climate change. In the age of Obama it would be expected that the bill mostly increases government control over people's lives, and rewards Obama's supporters.
