Here is an article that those interested in global warming should read. This article shows the long term record of CO2 in the Earth atmosphere. One surprising thing is how low the CO2 concentration is compared to most of the past 500 million years. Just that alone combined with the past temperature records seems to me to cast doubt on the proposition that CO2 is the major driver of Earth's temperature.
