The Democrats have claimed for some time now that the current economic difficulties in the US, and indeed for the entire world, were caused by the "Bush tax cuts." So, given that, the solution to our problems is simply to let those tax cuts expire, not just for the rich, but for everyone. That, combined with the huge, but largely hidden, tax increase already imposed by Obama will surely bring back prosperity. The Democrats have complete control of Congress as far as stopping legislation is concerned, so no action on their part is necessary to carry out this program. Success is easy for them to achieve.
